 Fasting as we Pray

Pray without ceasing. (1Thessalonians 5:17)

This week our prayer focus will be on fasting as we pray.

Focus on incorporating some fasting this week as you pray in your everyday activities.

Here are some examples of certain fasting - or abstaining from:

  • food: one meal, two meals, a full day fast from meals
  • social media fast
  • entertainment fast
  • fasting from certain communications: complaining, grumbling, non-edifying communications
  • fasting from certain attitudes: ungratefulness, annoyance, arrogance, hyper-critical
  • fasting from certain behaviors: impatient behaviors, judgemental behaviors
